YouTube is perfect for this. You can search any of the techniques you want to learn more about and you will find plenty of resources to watch. There are tons of great lessons on YouTube.
It is always easier to learn something new with the help of a friend. If you want to learn guitar online, you can meet a fellow beginner guitarist and Skype with them. Show each other what you recently learned.
If you both share something new once a week you will have gotten the same benefit as paying the big bucks for private lessons for free. Friendships do pay off.
